Introduction
This program is also funded by the FMSH, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (Department of European and International Relations and Cooperation), the Fritz Thyssen Foundation (Cologne), Princeton University (USA ), Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Ecole Centrale Paris, IRSEM (Strategic Research Institute of the Military School - Department of Defense) and the Bruno Kessler Foundation (Italy) on Labex Dynamite Hastec, IEC, IPOPS, Med OBVIL, OT-med, Resmed, Tepsis and transfers. This program is implemented in cooperation with the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD).
Fernand Braudel IFER program comes in two parts:
1. Fernand Braudel IFER program for incoming stays in France (for researchers at a research center based abroad)
- This program is open to candidates from all over the world.
- From March 2013, applicants apply exclusively thematic scholarships offered by institutions and Labex ("laboratories of excellence").
2. Fernand Braudel IFER outgoing program stays in Europe (for researchers at a research center in France)
- This program is intended for candidates residing in France who wish to make a research trip to another European country (member of the European Union or associated ).
- Candidates wishing to visit Germany postulate scholarships Clemens Heller. (Since 2010, scholarships Clemens Heller-Outgoing Germany-were included, while keeping their own identity in the new "Fernand Braudel IFER" program).
Scholarships Clemens Heller are not themed. Applicants determine their research and choose their own host laboratory in Germany.

These scholarships are offered in partnership with research institutions and "Laboratories of Excellence" (Labex). Projects candidates must match the lines of research of the host institutions.

Call for proposals (closing March 31, 2013 at midnight), 29 scholarships in the humanities and social sciences have made competition:
- 1 scholarship in the humanities and social sciences for a qualified candidate or attached to Princeton University wishing to visit the laboratory of his choice in France ( ).
- 1 scholarship in the humanities and social sciences for a candidate from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the territories of the former Soviet Union, wishing to visit the laboratory of his choice in France.
- 2 scholarships for candidates applying to the College World Studies (CEM - ) the following areas of research: Sociology of Economics, Anthropology and Global Health).
- 2 scholarships for candidates applying to a laboratory Labex Dynamite (future study areas: urbanization, sustainable development and new social dynamics - ) on the axes Research Labex.
- 2 scholarships for candidates applying for a home lab Labex Hastec (history and anthropology of knowledge, techniques and beliefs - ) on the axes Research Labex.
- 1 grant to an applicant applying for a home lab Labex Institute for the Study of Cognition (IEC) of the Ecole Normale Superieure ( ) on research themes Labex humanities and social sciences.
- 1 grant to an applicant applying for a home lab Labex IPOPS (Individuals, Populations, Companies - ) on research areas Labex humanities and social sciences.
- 1 grant to an applicant applying for a home lab IRSEM (Strategic Research Institute of the Military School - Department of Defense) ) on the axes Research Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences.
- 3 scholarships for candidates applying for a home lab LabexMed (Humanities and Social Sciences at the heart of interdisciplinarity for the Mediterranean - ) on research areas Labex.
- 3 scholarships for candidates applying for a home lab Labex OBVIL (Observatory of literary life - Digital Humanities and Literature, ed-3/labex-obvil / ) on the lines of research Labex.
- 4 scholarships for candidates applying to med-OT home lab Labex (Target Earth: Mediterranean Basin - ) on research areas Labex humanities and social sciences.
- 4 scholarships for candidates applying for a home lab Labex Resmed (Religion and Society in the Mediterranean World - ) on research areas Labex .
