Berkeley Psych

Actually, I don't think they see it as ass-kissing to correspond with the professors. It shows that you are interested in the program, and that you already know what you want to study. So, I would recommend at least Emailing them, and if possible, take a trip to Berkeley and visit them during their office hours to discuss your grad plan.
I'm applying to a lot of schools, for either a Master's in Film Production, Journalism, or Art Practice.
I'm applying to Stanford, Columbia, Northwestern, USC, UCLA, The American Film Institute, Yale, Berkeley, Claremont, and possibly Harvard
